Weekly Photo Challenge: Ready.

Ready to make the next move!

This pictures are taken at the Kulturhuset in Stockholm, a library/theater/cinema/playground/café… And you can play chess there as well! :) It’s fun to watch them play, everyone is holding their breath waiting for the other one to make their move. Someday I want to play there too, even though it’s been a long long time since I played chess..

  1. Hi,

There are so many posts that I wanted to comment on, but there wasn’t a spot to do it—and now randomly, on this post I can!

I really like your photos (and clearly so does everyone else with all of your followers :) But the collages is where the money is! However, the advent Christmas tree was so cool–what a great idea to get people to click around and see your wonderful pictures!

I also really liked your take on the Swedish landscape and culture. You made me smile (and laugh) so many times by pointing out the semi-weird things in Sweden–like a picnic on the ice in the snow.

How long have you been in Sweden? What’s your day job that you’ve alluded to—because it seems like you should be a photographer!

    • Hej Michael!

Thank you for your comment, it really made my day :)
I’m glad that you enjoyed my posts and took the time to write a little feedback.

I hope that everyone who isn’t living in Sweden is getting those weird things I’m writing about sometimes :D You live in Sweden too, right? I saw some pictures of the Ice sculpture festival in Uppsala on you blog. I was there during the weekend ;)

In the summer it will be four years since I moved to Sweden (time just flies away!!) And I’m working for a swedish billing company while I try to make it to my bachelor degree.. Unfortunately I’m not a photographer yet. There are just so many people here who are just as good and most likely better than me. But we will see what the future holds!

Hope you have a great week!

      • Jule!

Am glad I made your day! Sounds like you are pretty easy to please (or hyperbolic :)

People not living in Sweden must be getting your posts—after all, who doesn’t understand pictures? Little text + Loads of pictures = a blog everyone in the world wants to read (see). However, I’m not so certain that other people will be as accommodating to Swedish life. Let’s be fair, not everyone thinks having a picnic in the snow is a great idea. I am ridiculed constantly by friends from the US for biking to work in the winter. Some things are just not understood until you’re in the culture.

Or so you’re the ONE who visited my site ;) Neat that you came up to Uppsala—I hope you visited the ice sculptures at night, because they look so much better (and aren’t melting).

4 years ago—well we have that in common—I’ve been coming back and forth to Sweden for the past four years, but now moved permanently to start a life here. Why don’t you have an “about me” page? Can I ask where you’re from? And why you wanted to work for a billing company? Good luck on completing your bachelors (how much longer do you have left?).
