The house of the butterflies.

If you feel like you’re not ready yet for the upcoming winter, there are a few things you can do to keep the warm summer feeling a little bit longer: sauna, solarium or greenhouses. My mom and I decided to go to a greenhouse when she was here, Stockholm’s oldest greenhouse. It’s called The Butterfly House and it’s like an indoor rain forest, which I wouldn’t recommend to visit during the summer, since it could be a little bit too warm. If that is even possible ;)

The first thing that caught my eye were the amount of cocoons that were lined up on several sticks, hanging from the ceiling. Some of them were already empty and one looked like it was hatching the very moment we were there! I’ve never seen a butterfly cocoon in real life not to mention seeing one hatch.

It wasn’t so easy though to take pictures in the green house, because my lens got foggy all the time. But I tried my best and I’m very pleased with the outcome :) So if you ever visit Stockholm, don’t forget to visit the butterflies!
