They call it midseason.

Before I came to Sweden I never heard the term “midseason” before. Here they even have “midseason sales”. But for what exactly? All summer clothes are already gone and the fall and winter collections are pretty much the same. So who came up with this? What purpose does it have?

It was the other day, when one of my friends said “Is fall over no, or not? It looks so weird to see snow when the leaves are still falling.”, that was the moment I realized – This is what they call midseason!

  1. Surprisingly, we have midseason sales here in Leipzig… Tom Tailor and some other stores are having them right now… We probably adopted it from somewhere else (maybe Sweden?) as so many other things…
