Living in the “heart of Europe” brings a lot of benefits with it: many different languages (which I love), short distance to a bunch of countries and interesting cities (for me that is also my hometown) and the great train station announcements that come in four languages! ;) And that’s why taking the bikes to Paris for a ride isn’t such a crazy idea after all.
We parked the car outside of Paris and drove our bikes through the town from there. To Notre Dame, along the Seine, under the Eiffel tower and back was so much easier for us than for all those cars and busses that we passed on the way. One car driver actually stopped us to ask if we were nuts driven a bike in Paris. I don’t know if I should think that it was cute of him to say that or terrifying! But we made it, no scratches only sore legs the next day.
