For everyone who was too stressed this year to decorate their home, take out the good old Christmas CDs or wrap presents earlier than Christmas Eve – here is one last minute tip to get into the Christmas feeling:
Baking Christmas cookies!
1 pkg baking powder
1 pkg vanilla sugar
125g soft butter
100g grounded almonds
and for decoration you will need powdered sugar and vanilla sugar
Blend your ingredients by adding one ingredient at a time in the order mentioned above. Use a dough hook on maximum speed until all is well mixed.
Take the dough out of the mixing bowl and knead it into a soft ball. Form little sausages as thick as your finger and bend them into a C-shape. Spread them on a baking sheet leaving enough space in between to let the cookies rise.
Bake the cookies at 180°C for 10 minutes. They should not be golden but firm.
Dust the cookies with powdered sugar and vanilla sugar while they are still warm. Repeat when the are cooled off.
